The Special Edition ReLax Science Kit is specially augmented (with ReLax Science Learning Booklet) for science learning by high school and college students, and anyone else interested in learning and experimenting with brain waves.

Using ReLax is simple, just charge up (from any USB port or charger) the Controller with Sensor plugged in, then wear the Sensor on forehead, and your ReLax score is displayed on the Controller.  You don’t need computer, smart phone or download any APP.

ReLax score: (LED display)

  • Red = muscle tension detected,
  • Orange = mental tension detected,
  • Green = low level mental tension, and
  • Blue = calm and relaxed. 

The goal is to achieve as many Green and Blue as possible by relaxing facial muscles and reducing wandering thoughts.

Long long press (more than 6 seconds) of the "-" button will SHUTDOWN the Controller, a long press (more than 3 seconds) of the “-” button will turn-OFF the Controller, and a long press (more than 3 seconds) of the “+” button will turn-ON the Controller.

Of course, you may do more to enhance your ReLax experience: (1) download and install (including USB driver) ReLax APP on your computer, (2) connect ReLax Controller and Sensor to your computer’s USB port, and (3) run it.

The ReLax Science Kit consists of 2 main components, the sensor (S), and the controller (C), plus accessories to make taking bio-signal measurements easy. 

(Note: the Exploration kit and the ReLax kit are not compatible with each other, due to differences in sample rate and RF settings.)


1.  The Sensor (S): suitable for measuring EEG, ECG/EKG, EMG signals, capturing motion and posture activities, as well as environmental electromagnetic pollutions (EMP).

    • 2--electrode (bipolar) signal acquisition, 2000X high gain amplifier
    • 256Hz sampling rate, 13bit effective dynamic range
    • Built-in 3D (XYZ) accelerometer for motion and posture capturing
    • Rechargeable LIR1220 button cell, typically >16hrs use time with full charge
    • Proprietary low-power ZigBee (2.45GHz) TDMA wireless signal transfer, with extended RF range
    • Dry mini-electrode configurations


2.  The Controller (C):

  • Connects to computer USB port for interactive or off-line bio-signal data transfer and battery charging
  • Dual buttons (Positive, Negative) and 4 LED's for easy tagging and event markers
  • Rechargeable LIR2032 button cell, typically >32hrs use time with full charge
  • Proprietary low-power ZigBee (2.45GHz) TDMA wireless signal transfer, with extended RF range. (1 Sensor max. for each Controller)
